The eight parts of speech in English are the arrangement of word and phrases to create well-formed sentences.

1- Nouns refer to people, places, things, ideas, concepts etc...

Example: Mohammed is a good boy. Gold Coast is the best city.

2- Pronouns are used to refer to a noun/noun phrase; instead of the repeated use of the same noun's/noun phrase's.

Example: Sara is a good girl, she gets up early in the morning.

3- Verbs show an action or an ongoing condition. They are considered as the heart of a sentence.

Example: Mohammed is going home, he loves his home.

4- Adjectives modify or describe nouns in a sentence.

Example: Mohammed loves his beautiful daughters, His daughters also love their caring father.

5- Adverbs modify or describe adjectives, verbs, or other adverbs. They also answer the questions; When? Where? How? Or How much?

Example: He is running fast, She always reads attentively.

6- Prepositions give context to nouns in relationship to other nouns or pronouns.

Example: I am going to Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia is in Asia.

7- Conjunctions connect nouns, noun phrases, clauses or sentences together.

Example: Mohammed loves chocolate and chips, but He hates pizza.

8- Articles are words used to modify a noun, which is a person, place, object, or idea etc..

Example: I am going to see a new horse at the Australian zoo.
